Bryggen Sauna Rules
We want all our guests to enjoy a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable experience at Bryggen Sauna. To help us take care of both our guests and the sauna, please follow these simple guidelines.
Before Entering ✅
- Shower before using the sauna whenever possible.
- Remove your shoes before entering.
- Wear swimwear or cover yourself with a towel.
Inside the Sauna 🔥
- Always sit or lie on a towel. This helps maintain good hygiene and protects the benches.
- Food is not permitted inside the sauna.
- Please be considerate of other guests and keep noise levels at a comfortable volume.
Using the Sauna Heater ♨️
- Only use fresh water on the heater. Seawater or salt water may damage the equipment.
- Pour water sparingly. A small amount is enough to create pleasant steam.
- If you feel dizzy, unwell, or uncomfortable, leave the sauna and cool down immediately.
Swimming & Safety ‼️
- Never swim alone.
- Swimming is at your own risk.
- Check the conditions before entering the water and use the bathing ladder whenever possible.
- Children must always be supervised by an adult.
Stay Hydrated 💧
The heat of the sauna causes your body to lose fluids. Please remember to drink plenty of water before and after your visit.
Thank you for helping us create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable sauna experience for everyone.
