Rules

Bryggen Sauna Rules

We want all our guests to enjoy a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable experience at Bryggen Sauna. To help us take care of both our guests and the sauna, please follow these simple guidelines.

Before Entering ✅

  • Shower before using the sauna whenever possible.
  • Remove your shoes before entering.
  • Wear swimwear or cover yourself with a towel.

Inside the Sauna 🔥

  • Always sit or lie on a towel. This helps maintain good hygiene and protects the benches.
  • Food is not permitted inside the sauna.
  • Please be considerate of other guests and keep noise levels at a comfortable volume.

Using the Sauna Heater ♨️

  • Only use fresh water on the heater. Seawater or salt water may damage the equipment.
  • Pour water sparingly. A small amount is enough to create pleasant steam.
  • If you feel dizzy, unwell, or uncomfortable, leave the sauna and cool down immediately.

Swimming & Safety ‼️

  • Never swim alone.
  • Swimming is at your own risk.
  • Check the conditions before entering the water and use the bathing ladder whenever possible.
  • Children must always be supervised by an adult.

Stay Hydrated 💧

The heat of the sauna causes your body to lose fluids. Please remember to drink plenty of water before and after your visit.

Thank you for helping us create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable sauna experience for everyone.
